Loss of FaithA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWho can trust religious teachings?Loss
of Faith Sermons, once meaningful, fall on deaf ears as souls, once tinged with Catholic guilt, rebel. A priest lies dead, throat cut for the lies told, for the hurt the children endured. A bible lies smoking in hot ash, its words mere wisps blown in winds of deceit. The Pope is dressed in the rags
of a martyr, ready to be stoned to death as accounts are due, and gods are seen to have no place here.
