SoliloquyA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenMusing on life's path.Soliloquy
I may be flawed but it's because of my genes, my upbringing and my lived experience. 'Too many hits with a snake.' as the gene tells Aladdin. Punch drunk, by life's roller coaster ride, I have often staggered in a fugue, not knowing where I might find a safe port. Falling, easily into the sweet, intoxicating breasts of the next woman who offers comfort; until wham! I am senseless with grief at another loss. Repeating the same mistake of trusting fate, of believing in fairies, of sleepwalking through life perchance to dream of love; aye there's the rub. 24/05/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
