More EqualA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenLife is not fair!More
Equal George Orwell struck a chord, told a grain of truth, a rich vein of learning for us all. There is no such thing as equality, nor fairness. In this world there are the haves and the have-nots. There are the powerful and the disempowered. The rapist and the raped, the killer and the victim. The landlord and the tenants, the famous and the unknown, the boss and the workers. Most accept their place in the pecking order, acquiesce to their fate, the roll of the dice that determines wealth or poverty, leader or follower, winner or loser. But I will never understand how we stand by and watch such inhumanity; the slaughter, the hunger, the abandonment of our species. 11/06/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
