Giving Up

Giving Up

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

So, so easy to do.

"

Giving Up

There is nothing for us to cling to

when we die inside.

No buoyant memories

or driftwood thoughts.

No inflatable,

ego boosting cognitions.

Thus we sink.

Slide gratefully

beneath the surface

of responsibility,

and drown.

You are so welcome John
Always grateful for your inspiring company on WC.
More than true. Tragically, cruelly, when something dies inside, some of us feel even more pain, day after day . How can we not?
