Future WorldA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWe once thought the earth flat. What do we know?Future
World Dunes are subject to the earthly clock as shallow oceans come and go to the moon's pale tunes. An infinite sky so close and full of stars and yet so vastly distant, even the brightest astronomer cannot see the into the future. We shrink into insignificance, under that black velvet void, our whimpered roar defied by the gods. And yet we still serve them, give them misguided devotion, and slaughter in barbaric brutal cause, in their names. Our greed, our corporate avarice is small minded
and meaningless when we consider, that man has thus far achieved little, in the magnificent scheme of things to come.
