Breaking The Chain

Breaking The Chain

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Sometimes endings have to happen.

"

Breaking The Chain

To feed the addict

simply prolongs the pain, so

be cruel to be kind.

I agree so much with you John. Better the monotony than the damning highs and lows. Tough decisions but for the best!

Glad you get this one Divya. many thanks.
Enablers often dont look at the long term. Perhaps that is a selfish thing though - the addicts immediate happiness equals the enablers...?
Though stirring write John.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
