It All Sucks!

Life is full of inept or corrupt people.

It All Sucks!

It all sucks you know,

all of it.

The bullshit politicians

who use sound bites

to dupe us into believing

their tawdry rhetoric,

while they feather their nests

and fight for the status quo,

their hands in the till.

The wealthy captains of industry

who only care about

their next billion

and how to make it,

even if it means others are hungry

or are homeless or die

at the hands of dictators,

who use barrel bombs.

The TV executives and pop gurus

who manipulate and cheat

and massage the viewing figures

or use the media to their advantage,

feeding us a daily diet of fake news

and celebrity gossip.

The media moguls

who bribe the politicians

or blackmail them into

letting them dominate

the airwaves with their

ghastly poisonous distorted

headlines.

The corrupt and inept

judges, lawyers, police,

government officials

and public servants who

accelerate their careers

by trotting out

the party line

while sniffing coke lines

at corruption parties.

Yup, it all sucks!

I am shocked to read this as it felt like I was reading about my own country. This means its all the same everywhere. Corruption is too deep rooted in every field and theres no way out. Scary and disheartening, John.
