A Small World

A Small World

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

We are but microbes on microbes.

"

A Small World

I am a free verse,

I am a free spirit

and a free man

with free will,

falling free

through my

unrestrained mind.

But these chains

of ignorance

weigh heavy now,

and the inert gases

of my captivity

here on this dying orb

render me inept,

inert and inconsequential.

A free mind and free spirit are no use in captivity. So we come and go,
"inept,
inert and inconsequential."
and unsung. We never did have a chance to be otherwise.

Appreciated much John

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
