ClosedA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenSome simply fear being open enough to give in real life.Closed You speak in cat's cradles so as to ensnare me in the bonds of desire, and yet leave me tongue tied. Then you hold up the mirror of deception, pointing a beautiful, tender and innocent finger at the cracks. You tell me I made them; caused the seismic impact that shattered the glass. But I see through the steamy glazing now. I know the dread in you, the fear of plummeting, of free falling into a place where eyes meet where skin touches skin and you must give yourself completely. 09/10/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
