Dreamscape

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Just what you deserve.

"

Dreamscape

Now the storm

has passed

the air is stilled.

fresh,

untroubled.

From the top of The Ridge

one can see

all the way to the horizon.

In between, sweet

valleys and rolling hills

embrace villages

tucked warmly

into sweet green folds.

Beyond the line

where the land

meets the sky

lies a sea of possibilities.

A place of dreams

where love

can be soft and gentle

for you,

and where it will last

forever.

I feel the first few lines at the start, then flowing along to the vision of landscape to slide into that ending are perfect. I love that still air when the storm has passes, I love the aromas after the rain. Cleansing X

Yes I could see it as I penned and have been there often. Many thank yous for your indulgence KWP.
Atmospheric writing that you can drift to. Or maybe light a joint to. I read this as Champagne Supernova played. Cool moments my friend. Thank you.

I think we can make it happen when we are happy with someone and stop having too many expectations. .. read more

Thank you so much Roxane
I love this poem John, and the image is enchanting. Great language, form, flow. Post-storm imagery that holds magic. I can smell the freshness and the breeze over the radiant hills and valleys. Kudos!

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
