Triboelectric Effect

Triboelectric Effect

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

When atomic energy is allowed freedom!

"

Triboelectric Effect

I am static,

stopped,

stuck

to the fabric

of you.

Electrically charged

from the friction

between us.

Heated by

balmy desire.

I want you

but you hold me at bay.

Your weakly bound electrons

flowing into me,

my sparsely filled outer shell

absorbing them in warm hugs.

This imbalance of electrical charge,

sparking and crackling,

our contact and separation,

against your high resistance

to my current,

has me insulated,

separated from your heart.

And your opposite polarity,

your grounded fears,

simply discharge me

as static shock.

well done...very enjoyable science and love's relationships ... attract and repel ... the fear and anticipation of a shock delivered overcome only by the greater thrill of the jolt ... but alas ... your speaker's spark is water off the ducks back ... misses the target and goes to ground ... well done John .. absolutely love and enjoy when science and emotion are so well used in poetry ... good stuff says i!

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
