Quiet View

Quiet View

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Love has wings.

"

Quiet View

In gentling breaths

we come together

'neath whispers of night's

long promised land.

There to gaze

upon the naked truth

that only true lovers

can command.

Beneath the shadow

of the harvest moon

blue echoes

reach in wispy bliss.

To pleasure one another

with adoring hands

and hungry mouths

and urgent kiss.

And when the cloak of night,

raven black,

descends on us

with darker skies,

I would be with you,

and you alone,

and so

the heat will rise and rise.

A temperature

to melt

the sun, hot

molten, golden lust.

With filigree wings

and seraph hair

your sprinkled

Angel dust.

And there must we,

beneath the sky,

take flight

upon these broken wings,

as lovers, partners

and as friends,

and we who share

our everything's.

enjoyed reading this gentle expression of love, commitment and passions ... the broken wings at the closing surprised me ..it added that rubber hits the road reality of humanity ... keeps it real .. i also enjoyed the internal rhymes scattered about ...i think your rhythm is based soundly on musical integrity ;)

You have been so prolific recently with various poems of passion, lust, regret. All very evocative.

I like this one for the tones of tenderness and togetherness aside the passion.

Nice flow of words. You described need and passion with skill. I liked how you led to the perfect ending. People who share all things. Can be content. Thank you John for sharing the amazing poetry.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
