Simple Man

Simple Man

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Life can be a baffling jungle at times!

"

Simple Man

If life were so simple

then I would fit

for I am a simple man;

but it is not.

Life is a convoluted

twisted tube

that snakes

here and there and back in knots.

It branches off,

maze like

with many paths

to choose,

many dead ends

to face.

It is so easy

to get lost

for years on end

and never see the sun.

So hard for a simple man.

A simple man in a complex world, complex ideals, complex women, one is better off alone sometimes!

Agreed but difficult. Cheers Andrew.
Man, this might be my favorite of yours. It hits on so many levels. Sometimes trying to be that simple man can be exhausting. The small things in life carry weight but can be so screwed up. So many lessons. You hear those stories of people trying to do the right thing and the next thing you know a tragedy unfolds. I like the different avenues you can take with this John. Nice work.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
