Diva

Diva

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Some people enjoy power over others

"

Diva

And so I still feel you,

even at this distance,

held for half a decade

at arms length.

Stuck in limbo

no matter what I said.

No unveiling of the smile

behind the charm

but layers of hot accusatory

flack exploded in my face

when I sought more, asked

to know you.

So easily you slipped

into character,

stood before the great director

and adlibbed, nay feigned

hurt and bitter disappointment.

Denied me the supporting role.

And in each blockbusting sequel

you are still the star

of the show

while I ended up

washing cars,

yet you still wink at me

in passing.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
