This WinterA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenIt has been a dire AprilThe last day of April, I stare wistfully out the window, hoping to see a warmer glow. But I am still waiting for spring as dark scudding clouds and autumnal winds scour the trees, in the breath of a February chill. All the leaves and the buds and the perky blades of Verdi grass, dip their heads and have no smile to give. For they share my disappointment that I still have to reach for my winter coat. 30/04/18
