LongingA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenCan't wait!I cower cloaked in heavy clothing when winter cracks her ice cold whip, and breathes her frozen air upon my world. I was not made to endure such a chilly wintry fate as some may summon with relief. Me, I am warm blooded and live to feel the sun upon my skin, bronzing and soothing flesh I would easily bare to golden solar rays. I welcome spring with joy in my heart, as life returns to the earth and the frosts retreat, leaving a sigh of fresh buds and high hope of summer just around the bend. 29/01/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
