Another resonate piece. I love the use of short lines to slow the pace of the poem, it adds to the introspection. I'd even argue that isolating the word 'core' could help amplify that effect, but that's just me. This piece's simplicity adds to its power, and does so in spades!

Many thanks PP. Tis a form I only recently came upon from another writer, called a cinquain 2-4-6-8-2 syllables, centred text. Being restricted forces you to think of appropriate words in order to convey the message. Like a senryu, haiku or tanka.
