Saturation PointA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenTis a fact lol! There are poets at every corner of the earth. They sit at their keyboards bowed earnestly in supplication to the god of words, hoping to rearrange universal languages into meaningful,
intelligent shapes. They drink copious cups of tea, coffee, beer, gin or whisky to simply aid the flow. At times they sit and stare blankly, as if dead eyed, starved of ambition. At others their manic script flies in foaming mouthed utterances from over stimulated neurons, through urgent fingers and onto virgin pages. They burn the midnight oil, suffer insomnia and/or rise before dawn to fire up phones, tablets or laptops. Such bards used to be scarce, limited to those who could read or write, those who had a quill and ink and no real need to toil from dawn until dusk. On the internet today there are more poets than people on the earth and more poems than stars in the universe. 07/02/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
