Emergency, Which Number Do You Require?

Emergency, Which Number Do You Require?

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Life as a man is not all you 'Me Too' Gals think it is!

"

Throw me a lifeline

for I am drowning

in this sea of sorrows

whose depth is measured

in decades of decline.

Falling and falling again,

deep into the murky,

muddy depths of life's

dark sewers,

those cleft canyons,

full of shadows

and foul icy cold breaths.

There I lie,

a battered corpse

beaten into submission

by the will of women

I have known.

Why is it

I have to be so subdued?

An eloquent plea, but somehow I don't think the hordes of feminist valkyries are going to be moved to sympathy by it.

Indeed I too cannot see it lol! Many thanks.
especially good question for your last line....
i do think sometimes we think we deserve not to be happy and sabotage our relationships...or we pick the wrong people so it won't word...like a safety net. and so we can say "why me?"

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
