The Edge of Darkness

The Edge of Darkness

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Wiser but still spent!

"

Where are these fruits

you offered me in Eden?

I took one bite,

one tiny bite of that apple

and now here I am,

stuck between heaven and earth.

Your firm, pert breasts

drizzled the milk

of human kindness,

and I suckled willingly,

while behind those red eyes

was a black and morbid

intention.

Why did I let the devil in?

Why did I become the son

of Satan?

Why did I leave the garden

behind me?

Oh fate is such a brute! (Throws rattle out of pram)
you pose a fair question that has plagued man since the beginning. the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. not always so easy to do the right thing. we live in a sort of pergatory. great read for me. strong imagery, clever, philosophical and deeply entertaining. what else could one ask for ... :)

Sir your kindness in so welcome. I kneel at your feet in fealty brave knight.
It is something to do with those firm, pert breasts

and the feeling in your groins

Just whose side are you on cinic fella? Many thanks for reading.
Life is for learning. You get burned and you know not to do that again. Funny enough, some still do.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
