A Further Ten

A Further Ten

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Relationship Problems?

"

Easing The Pain

The glow of the sun

lessens the sting of the barbs

that you throw my way.

29/03/19

Blemishes

Our imperfections

mark us out as different;

individual.

29/03/19

Clashes

I have a temper

you have a razor sharp tongue ,

so mayhem ensues.

29/03/19

Imperfect Match

We may seem to clash

but we both know that we are

true companions.

29/03/19

Graft

One has to work hard

at any relationship

that is worth its salt.

29/03/19

Healing

Don't rub salt in wounds

it causes inflammation

and unneeded pain.

29/03/19

Malice Aforethought

Don't keep me informed;

it shows your anger and spite

and stops the healing.

29/03/19

Passive Aggression

Your anger and spite,

not as vocal as my own,

is just as harmful.

29/03/19

Two Sides

Denial of guilt

does not necessarily

prove your innocence.

29/03/19

The Constructive Path

Focus on the good;

look for the positive things

that you both value.

There are a bunch here I like. Blemishes - is very true. We are each unique in our own way. Those blemishes are often on the inside too. Not just the outside.

The Constructive Path - Very true, advisable

Two sides - True.

Healing - true

Graft - also very true.

A good ten to me. :)

Thank you so much Relic. I find these get such a lot off of one's chest at times lol!
wow, yes, Graft---
one of my exes expressed the opposite one night when we were talking about our relationship status...she said " i don't think relationships are something that should have to be worked at..."
knew we were in trouble when that line came out.
a sound, unsound to hear.

Ha yes I guess. I so envy those who seem to simply glide along like swans! Thanks Jacob.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
