Long Ago

Long Ago

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

It's just the radio..................................................................

"

In stuttered words,

forced through

paralysed lips

I speak my part.

In stuttering

thirty-five millimetre film

I watch the scene

where you and I

once parted.

Sepia colours aged,

faded on light-washed

celluloid.

Long ago,

and oh so far away

beneath the beauty

of our poetry

we were the most

beautiful love story

that could fill the sky

with dreams.

And I,

I fell in love with you.

Such a beautiful write up. Loved the lines -
beneath the beauty
of our poetry
we were the most
beautiful love story
that could fill the sky
with dreams.
And I,
I fell in love with you.

Very nice 👍

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
