Long AgoA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenIt's just the radio..................................................................In stuttered
words, forced
through paralysed
lips I speak my
part. In
stuttering thirty-five millimetre
film I watch the
scene where you
and I once parted. Sepia
colours aged, faded on
light-washed celluloid. Long ago, and oh so
far away beneath the
beauty of our
poetry we were the
most beautiful love
story that could
fill the sky with dreams. And I, I fell in
love with you. 11/04/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
