True tale/tail!

It kicked off on-line.

Dog lovers defending

their right to let their

beloved pets soil the beach.

Those opposed argued

on health grounds

while the canine brigade

hurled insults

and referred to litter

left by humans

or humans peeing in the sea.

To them, two wrongs

must make a right

it seems.

If they had any decency,

had a real love of nature,

for Calpe,

and their fellow humans,

and had done their research,

they would know

the signs erected

banning dogs

are there for a reason.

Dog lover here...but rules are there for a reason. Shame that it's such a problem.

Indeed. Responsible owners are not to blame. Personally we humans see ourselves as 'owners' of everything including animals which we place in unatural situations and call them 'domestic pets'. Too many dogs and cats. I go to Spain a lot and I can say in some parts they just let their dogs poo everywhere and anywhere. Many thanks Susan.

I happen to love dogs, but that doesn't mean they should be allowed to go everywhere. The problem isn't normally with dogs but with their stupid owners. I don't want my little family members playing on beaches where dogs have fouled, it is a health hazard. Trying to bring in arguments about human behaviour is pathetic. You are right. Two wrongs don't make a right. There are stupid people everywhere. Some of them own dogs. Interesting write.

Thanks Chris. This is about Calpe in Spain. People constantly flaunt the rules and ignore the signs. The abuse one guy got on-line from dog lovers for posting a picture of a woman walking her pooch after being warned by the police the day before was chilling in it's vitriol and ignorance. So I wrote and posted this on the site lol!
