A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Missing it. Fowey pronounced ''Foy'

A pasty and pint

sitting at the Galleon Inn

watching Fowey Town Quay

Food, booze and music make a happy time and damn good poetry.

Sounds wonderful. Made me think of a lovely little town by the river in Portugal I visited once.- very slow and laid back little place, where you spend hours outdoors, eating, drinking and people watching.

Yes just like that apart from the sun lol! Many thanks Laura.
Sounds ideal, but not today. Cold and very windy. Plenty of white horses in Devon when I left. On the right day, though your river view and pasty and pint would be splendid.

Have eaten pasties on many a day, including bright sun and raging storm. Love em!
makes me want to be there ... had to google the Inn and surroundings ... what a great looking place!!! i grew up unruly and stayed that way until into me late 20s ... i don't think i have the right picture of a pasty ;) reading Grace's review i surmise it is a relative of a donut ... your senryu paints with lots of flavors says i!

A view I never tire of Jacob. A relaxing and peaceful place. many thanks.
The thing is John, was the pasty homemade or a 'Greg's' special? I've never been to Cornwall but I know what a beautiful place it is.

Grace.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
