I Was Never Crazy

On my own

there was calm,

in tepid

still waters

I swam.

By myself 

still life

was instilled,

a painting

in oils,

so still.

Now I grieve

for those days,

as I feel

so unfulfilled

in the shadow

of tainted love,

where we

both lie

in the cacophony

of our silence.
