the bulk of my life was in a concrete garden so I never really had much experience in this realm I love gardens and nature but I have to journey to find it there is a trail 6 blocks from my house that runs along the river I visit often in the wee hours when I can be alone and soak it in. But I can imagine the source of pride one would get from enjoying your own creation.

I wonder sometimes what life would be like without a garden. I think I would find it difficult. Pleasure is what you get and you have mentioned that in two of your three connected haiku/senryu. Yes pleasure is what you get from tending the garden, then sitting back and admiring the fruits of your hard work. Ah the scent of newly mown grass, that is special. Nicely penned John.

Absolutely Chris. Our garden is a challenge as my wife did not consider the effect of years of growth and mix of plants/shrubs/trees when she set about planting it all. Never-the-less I love getting out there and snipping and clipping. Many thanks for reading and commenting.

nothing like the smell and look of a freshly mowed lawn....
my landlord just mowed my yard and the neighboring yards...looks good...
i have no green thumb but can always appreciate a pretty garden.
