Echo

Echo

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Tis all Greek to me!

"

You stalked the woods,

bow and spear

readied for the kill.

A hunter, fearless

and silent as mist,

your beauty,

your majesty, a legend,

and just like so many before,

that Oread nymph

fell at your feet,

another woman

smitten by your splendour.

But again with disdain

and contempt,

you scoffed till she

wilted away

on the forest floor,

simply another heart

mulching amongst

so many dead leaves.

But the beauty you squandered

did not go unnoticed,

and Nemesis made you reflect

on your misdeeds,

until self-love turned

to sour pure despair,

overwhelmed you and

took you over the edge

of reason.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
