Science Defiance

In the USA the Flat Earth believers are rising again.

Vaccine deniers are at risk

of killing off the human race

as they refuse their kids

the protection society deserves.

 

Climate change "sceptics"

want us to keep burning

fossil fuel coal,

until we all fry in hell.

 

And flat-earthers are back

with a vengeance,

their "research"

videos on YouTube

or at conventions, next

a cruise to "the ice wall".

That is how

their reasoning works.

 

So, as the sane among us

seek  the criterion of demarcation,

the very truth philosophers of science

have spent the last hundred years

looking for in vain,

the sound of the fiddle

and the crackle of the flames

gets ever closer

as ground Nero approaches.

After having read this I just day dreamed opening a compulsory education camp for the hopelessly stupid. Upon graduating they can be released into general population once again. However the folks that don’t pass must be placed on an low lying island community that the only means of employment is to make spelunking ropes from disease infested fabric linens from hospital beds of measles patients and as the water table rises they will have to live on stick houses And swim to work:) in other words I liked what you said here

i think the thinking is what has become flat...and so narrow minded...and i think what scares us we don't want to believe...everybody shouts conspiracy these days...no matter what the subject.
