Huntress

Huntress

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The chase is on!

"

Prowling

in the dark

the she cat

sees her prey.

She lowers her profile

and waits,

eyes fixed,

stock still,

silent as the night.

Her victim

does not even

know she awaits him

until it is too late,

much too late.

Talons drawn

she pounces

with

perfect precision,

pinning him

hungrilly

to the bed.

Nice song dedication. The meter is very agile and flexible. Quite like the cat that purrs.
