Red Planet Panic

Red Planet Panic

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover is discovering more about the red planet!

"

A glint of light

and a hint of life

means Mars is

getting interesting.

Glowing objects

that appear

to hover

just above

the red planet's

surface,

have captured

our imagination

as we seek

meaning

and purpose

and forgiveness.

Perhaps simply

cosmic ray-hits

or sunlight glinting

off rock,

but never-the-less

hope

to those believers

who have consigned

flat earth theorists

to the past

as unorthodox heretics.

So exploration

will be our watch-word

as science progresses.

But I guess

we would do well

to remember

that

Curiosity

killed

the cat!

The study of Mars has certainly proven to be interesting. But in the end I believe it will remain the "red but dead" planet. What do you mean?! Isn't the earth flat???!!!

Of course it is flat! But we don't want others to know the truth. Love to be around in 100 years to .. read more
my cat is ever curious of all thinfs i bring home 😂 anyway, the cosmic world have always fascinated me, if only was i motivated enough back then i would have pursued studying about them, regardless I'm still a scientist only in a different field. Your work got me thinking, how quickly you can associate such current events to musings and thoughts and make a piece of art.

exploration is good...i like what E. said...maybe we will find out that we DID live there once...
and maybe could again...
curiosity could kill the cat...but then again...maybe the cats have something there...and their curiosity is just to discover...new things.

ahahaha i like the information about our Rover and its "discoveries" as i have not been keeping track of any news for a while these days ... and i like the closing ... who knows the will of God on these things? not i quacked the duck! ;) but its a pretty good guess exploitation is our goal ... maybe for the good ...and maybe not .. i think if we continue to have the dedication and commitment of funds ..we will get there one of these days .. i wonder if we may find that we use to live there .. long long ago ... and simply forgot ;}

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
