Open Mind

Open Mind

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Too often we rush to judge others. Some have a rougher journey lol

"

Do not judge me so

before you have walked the path

in these stilletos.

I judge you not, friend
I have walked in those stilletos,
I was wearing fishnets
hope you were too, lol

My second chuckle of this Sunday. Do you write for The Big Yin? Cheers bro!
I think we've just taken the wrong meaning of freedom of speech, so there's really no limit to where the tongues would stop spitting venom. Too easy judging others than stepping in those stilletos and seeing from their pov. You said that nicely here. Well penned, John.

Why thank you so very much. Don't think I could take two steps in stilletos!
Strong message here John. None of us know the path that others tread, so who are we to judge them.

Thanks Chris. No one has yet remarked upon the satire?
"take a Walk on the Wild Side"
to each his own...we all have such different make-up inside---and there needs to be more understanding of that.

Exactly that Jacob, many thanks.
So short but powerful!
Judge me not for you have never walk the path,
You never know what I've been through along the line.
If you've been there, you can then be justify,
If not so, keep your mouth out of my life..

This is to confirm that I truly agree to poem. Many judge recklessly without knowing or considering what you may be going through. They don't know the pain you are nurturing, they care not about what you've passed through. They just opened to their mouth to condemn, becoming blind to see the imperfections in their own lives.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
