IntrepidA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenThink what lies out there beyond this 'flat' earth!Lurking in the shadows is guilt, the kind that is indeed original. Hiding in the shade is the image of a saviour, a god who both tests and loves man. Peering through the gloom are believers who accept the impossible, the unproven, the ridiculous, as their dread of death makes them cling to any flotsam of faith they can find. Staring into the darkness of the abyss of hell, are those so weak and fearful of their own mortality, that they must believe they will live on, flesh and blood immortals with such patently false belief. Standing on the mountain looking at the stars is a man, a man without fear, a man who sees the universe and longs to be a sailor swashbuckling among the planets, exploring the real meaning of life, and not afraid of death. 09/07/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
