Nurture

Nurture

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

You got to love them green fingers!

"

New life

can come

to lifeless

plants.

So let

sprigs of growth,

new shoots,

take form

in you,

but train them

well with cane

and string

so that they grow

strong

and true.

If only people new how important that is for all ages. When I speak to most people on the phone or in person, they talk about themselves constantly. I don't know if it's just simple narcissism, which is indicative of modern society, or maybe it's that people are having to talk themselves up for a lack of getting what you are splashing on the page above. Maybe nurturing each other is the answer. I like it.

Good advice for raising children, although I think the cane and string thing might border on abuse. ;>}

Nurture people like plants and they will flourish. I do have green fingers, so that helps. Happy Sunday John.

Might just catch up on reads and some writes as have a free evening lol!
i appreciate the expression here, but i have the opposite of a green thumb...i just try my darndest not to kill my plants...but in an allegorical sense, we can love another back to life, i firmly believe that.
one who is starving from lack of attention and love, withering away can bounce back with the slightest nurturing.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
