Anxiety State

Anxiety State

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A debilitating disorder.

"

Heart in mouth,

pulse beating

like a drum

in your ears,

pupils dilated,

adrenaline flowing

like a tap

just because

your eyes have opened.

My grandson of 20 lives in this state day in and out. It can be totally debilitating. I am so proud of how he copes with it, but can see both the physical and mental anguish he goes through. Your descriptive little write is spot on. The panic attacks suck.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
