LeavingA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenDeath can be a release.Plunge me
into that darkness as the
lights dim and the
knife cuts deep, slicing the
chords of day and setting
my lifeblood free. Watch me
lay, silent, still, as from my
soul unspoken
grief must flow in rivers
red, tinged with the
saddest of regret. And do not mourn my passage
to the stars for there I
dance in the
ocean's foam beneath the
moon and sup the
sweet, sweet wines of hope and love
again. 18/07/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
