Leaving

Leaving

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Death can be a release.

"

Plunge me into that darkness

as the lights dim

and the knife cuts deep,

slicing the chords of day

and setting my lifeblood

free.

Watch me lay, silent, still,

as from my soul

unspoken grief

must flow

in rivers red,

tinged with the saddest

of regret.

And do not mourn

my passage to the stars

for there I dance

in the ocean's foam

beneath the moon

and sup the sweet, sweet

wines of hope

and love again.

A fine piece of free verse John. I'm sure that some would find this outcome, a solution to their problems. Some lovely poetic expression here.

Indeed so. Many thanks Edie.
and maybe we will find the ultimate love after this life...maybe in death we will finally find peace and harmony...
but then, what would we write about posthumously? I wonder.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
