Conception

Conception

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

There is no other place to go.

"

To my destiny,

in the dust of creation,

I am truly bound.

Thank you Pete.
Very nice. I don't think anyone can change fate.

Thank you Sir.
Conception and our final destination, the same place it seems. Maybe I've read this elsewhere, though not as creatively illustrated. ;) The art and music move us, too. Striking work, sir.

Double dinting as in? Indeed we are dust and some of us will be blown away laddie! Many thanks.
well I am exceedingly happy that I'm not the only fellow of whom the conceptions tend to bite the dust...

Thank you Robert; and I always enjoy the ride!
John,
Well written . . . I see you believe in determinism. Yes . . . we are bound within the substance of the stars and destined to return as such. In the meantime, let us shine, shine, shine!

Thank you so much FKK.
This is really cool, John. Your title and the photo you paired with the poem lend a meaning that would not be immediately evident to me in reading.

A great openness in the writing. The idea of destiny has shifted so much in human culture over the years, but there are certain things that cannot be avoided. We are biologically programmed to fulfill certain purposes and must actually stop their fulfillment if we do not want them to be part of our path. There's no denying a destiny in that.

Excellent poem.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
