The Mandarins of WhitehallA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenMost countries have 'non political' advisers to governments who run the affairs of the country and carry out the orders of the governments. They are mostly seen as a stabalising force but.............'We are non-partisan, politically neutral and speak truth to power
behind closed doors, we have done so since
eighteen-fifty-four.' Yet, there is a war of 'religion', a battle of faith coursing through the
corridors of power. Some view our Civil
Servants the 'enemy within', ' a bastion of
Remoanerism' determined to undermine the democratic will of
the people. Such neoliberal thinking seen as suitable only
for re-education in Xinjiang type correction camps. Senior, establishment
civil servants regularly speak out
against Brexit, an impartial civil
service? it seems civil servants are anything but
impartial on the EU question. Anti-Brexit bias runs
like a spinal cord through the bloated body
of these mandarins, these metropolitan 'remainers', whose fat pensions we, the tax payers,
fund, have influence, and are openly trying to hamper our democratic rights. I guess establishment is establishment wherever you are in the
world, but they are so far
removed from real lives as they choke us in our sleep and
pick our pockets of hope as well as hard earned
cash, while we feed these
traitors with lavish lives. 03/08/19 © 2019 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
