"

How good to still pump it out at the gym thrice a week!

"

These bones

have served me well,

held me upright

for so many bloody

decades.

Now as muscles ache

and tendons strain,

and stiff,

grinding,  joints

haunt my days,

and my nights,

I feel blessed

to still be alive.

Blessed to have

my health

and my wits,

glad to be still

in the game,

glad to be still kicking

and then some!

Good to exercise if you are able to. The benefits are numerous. Bought myself an exercise bike a couple of months ago, with the intention of doing about 40 mins a day. So far so good and it is helping me lose a few pounds. Love Fields of Gold. Good morning John.

Hope the music is good. I have a wandering mind that takes me to weird places lol!
this is how i feel, playing tennis twice a week...and knock on wood...still getting around the court quite well and generally injury free.
the better we take care of it, the better our body will treat us..

Absolutely agree Jacob, game set and match! Many thanks.
Bodies grow older with age,
Faces wrinkled, bones weakened,
Mind seems to keep learning everydays,
Heartbeat slows down, blood flows slower.
Only what change couldn't unchanged,
Is our experience, knowledge,
Wit, spirit and our stories.

Better to also be grateful,
To still have the privilege to be alive,
By doing exercise,
Is another way to live longer.
It cajoles the bones, seduces the nerves,
And rubs the aging face with healing balm.

I like your expression, John.
It's a wonderful thing to experience.

...three times a week? Good for you, John! I do twenty miles a day on my X bike, and I feel quite proud of myself. It really does give you a feeling that you're doing something good for yourself.
