Landscape Lullaby

Landscape Lullaby

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

For the ears of an angel.

"

The fragrance of your skin

has never filled my senses,

for the divide is mountains,

high craggy monolithic

edifices, that from afar

look like a serene scene

to hold one's breath over.

A place of calm, and nature

and beauty and you. A place

where sweet smelling life

simply grows from your soft

green fingers.

And I, still intoxicated,

dream of your scent,

your fine flaxen hair as it tickles

my face, your breath, your laughter

and the warmth of your smile.

I still dream of you waltzing

on my skin

as I hold close your 'virgin' curves

and feel so utterly complete

with your perfect breasts

resting in my hands

as we find a just sleep.

A place of calm, and nature
and beauty and you (...)

I love this phrase. This place is beautiful and serene, and somehow all these, and more, serve to describe her. She has become an adjective, a symbol of the indescribable.

Indeed she is just that, indescribable! Many thanks.
soft and romantic ..really appreciate the connections to Nature in it all ... perfect pic and song choices says i! one can get lost in such mutual exchange ... can it only happen in a dream? ;)

This comes across as a beautiful dream John. May you continue to have them as sweet as this. Filled with romance and longing. Fine free verse.

We can but dream sometimes Ron; many thanks.
sometimes dreams stay just that...dreams...and maybe the dream is better than the real thing...
imagination can often take us places we just can't go in reality.

I think that is a sage piece of thinking Jacob. Many thanks.
I do like this gentle romantic side, compared to *Broken* this is the yin and yang of love, but we do need them both for balance, without the ugly side, we would have nothing to equate the beauty,

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
