I saved this for last because I had a hunch it was going to be great and I was right! Maybe it's just because I feel identified. I have a tattoo (which my mother claims to be her biggest disappointment!) and I'm planning on a whole leg sleeve. It's hard to face the stigmas and taboos of being tatted up, especially when judgement comes from those closest to you. I'm happy to see society is becoming more lenient towards it tho. Excellent work!

I think some tattoos look really good and are art but some are simply defacing of the skin canvas. You have to expect a parent to be your greatest critic. It usually means they love you and don't want to see you go wrong or they feel guilty for something. Often they are afraid to accept modern day values because they don't relate to them. Many thanks yet again and hope the tattoo looks good when you get it.

never never never tat words on the body .. nor names ;) your title drew me right in .. i read Christine's poem also .. about her nieces tat .. your senryu cover the many sides of being tattooed ..some kept secret and some shouted .. different strokes for different folks .. well done.. nicely linked .. thoughtful .. from one who has more than one :)
