A-F*****g-men!

A-F*****g-men!

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Excuse the title and expletives; they have authorised poetic licences granted!

"

Crazy paving,

like the rest of us,

just a little cracked.

Frayed at the edges

like corned beef

in tins from

Argentina,

with keys attached.

Lost it, like England

lost the Ashes.

Lost it like

lost in Space.

Lost everything,

gave it up for plastic

packaging and warming

carbon.

Only thing we ever captured

was one another's lands,

when if we'd stayed home

we might have enjoyed

the peace.

And priests never offered peace

not of mind, nor soul.

Well bugger me

if Hawking hasn't got it right,

there are no

f*****g gods,

not a one.

We are alone,

floating on this rock,

and the sooner we

see that

and stop believing

our own fairy stories,

the sooner we can

see our true

purpose.

We are a species

with no self belief

and without it

we fall into Satan's

heart.

Plunge into that

inferno where we

take no responsibility

for true kindness,

humility

and humanity.

Stand in front

of that black

mirror;

can you not see

we are the ones

with the power

and the truth,

we are the ones

who can live in

humane harmony,

if we chose to.

holy moly cow.....having said that yes, and yes.. 'we are a species with no self belief... and i do believe in fairy stories and often believe they are a baseline of what is and what we can achieve... yes that is weird, but f**k, our reality is so messed up I want help from the fairy realm... bottom line of what i want to say is don't give up... be you... screw the rest .... love and be loved

So agree with you Jenny and keep sending your influence from the fairy world please. Many thanks.
I disagree strongly with a lot you have to say. But I stopped believing a long time ago that disagreements have to come to blows or hatred. We all have our own experiences that make us who we are and what we believe. The one thing brotherly I feel though, is the passion in your words. It's what gives the poet his license and I would never dream of taking that away from you. Good on you.

Thank god for poetic license CD. Many thanks.
humanity's definition doesn't include how we act....to always want more, to need to conquer...that means we are never satisfied with what we have...that we still after all our time on earth, have no idea how to coexist....
yes, it's a mad world...but if we could get less greedy, maybe we could all get along.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
