The Long and Winding Road......A Poem by John Alexander McFadyenLife is short, love endures. The breeze
carried lilac and basil and sage but the
garden was barren, the cause of
much rage. I looked for
the roses, the lilies and pinks only to find
a nudge and several winks. That canvas
was empty and the palate was pale, so that one
couldn't find the strength
to prevail. Such
confused emotion is so hard to take, little
wonder then that it led to a
break. But our life
has a meaning, one we've both touched far too
precious to lose, too dear to
be ditched. Perhaps it's
time to revisit that feeling to forgive
and forget, enjoy the
healing. 05/09/20 © 2020 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's Note
