Nails Of The Cross

Nails Of The Cross

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Strange we are punished for the 'sins' of others!

"

They tried me in a kangaroo court,

guilty of original sin!

They laid me on crossed planks

and tied my hands and legs to them

before hammering crude pins

through each wrist

and through both feet.

They raised that structure up

and left me to hang there

for the rest of my sick

Catholic days.

And all because a boy called Adam

was persuaded by his lover

to eat her forbidden fruit.

so many youth have been damaged and dissuaded of Faith by misguided tactics of the old school Priests and Nuns .. tho i am by far not a practicing Catholic and not familiar with how things are now .. i do know the Church has made a lot of changes in their approach and practice .. the parallel of the young boy heaped by guilt and deeply suffering is a bit out of the wheelhouse of Christ's laying down His own life willingly .. that aside ... the contrast is vivid ... and i feel for your protagonist ... very engaging poetry for me sir!

If you don't want to suffer, stay away from women :)) There are some real feisty ones out there who won't stand for any crop :) Well penned John.

Ha ha. Have a good afternoon John. Now't so strange as women. Even I know that :)
Here we go again with men trying to blame women for their lack of self control. If you ask me, Lilith was smart to dump Adam's a*s. I don't believe for a second that he was the one who dumped her. They call it history for a reason, though: https://youtu.be/IBdohg10Fvg

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
