Nails Of The CrossA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenStrange we are punished for the 'sins' of others! They
tried me in a kangaroo court, guilty
of original sin! They
laid me on crossed planks and tied
my hands and legs to them before
hammering crude pins through
each wrist and
through both feet. They
raised that structure up and
left me to hang there for the
rest of my sick Catholic
days. And all
because a boy called Adam was
persuaded by his lover to eat her
forbidden fruit. 22/10/20 © 2020 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
