The Shrew and the GiraffeA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenMore shrew adventures!A shrew and
a giraffe met on a jungle path, said the
shrew to the giraffe, "I sure could use a laugh." "The
day's been pretty dull, perchance you'll make it shine?" " And
if you do, then perhaps I will make you mine!". "Ah."
, said the giraffe, ", so you too have heard the rumour that I am indeed
the jungle king of humour." "Now
let me see what I can do to cheer you up my little shrew and should I
make you smile, maybe in a while, we will
be two. So he took
out of his waistcoat pocket a little book of jokes hoping that
in telling them, the shrew's love he provokes. He read her
one, he read her two and soon she was in stitches and sure
enough, soon after that he got all of his wishes. 21/10/20 © 2020 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
