I saw two pidgeons starting to nest outside my window...their cooing woke me up every single morning. Then all of a sudden, they were gone and haven't returned. I also had a family of squirrels underneath my shed, which I haven't seen in a few days. I think when they came out and took some stretches, they knew they were able to leave the nest on their own. ; ( I got some really great shots of them, though!
I used to see cardinals back east, but I've never seen one here on the west coast. They are such lovely birds...I just want to stand in awe of them, don't you?

Delightful. I love to watch birds, too, and am always tickled when I see a cardinal. Just yesterday, a pretty one joined in with the sparrows who pecked at the seeds I spread across the patio.

What a beautiful view from your chair Dara. I love the sing-song rhyme, which gives your words such a lovely flow. A gorgeous poem my friend, as I've come to expect from you.
