He Had Me at Hallo

He wrote in a way
that touched my heart
like no other.
His words portrayed
his life, his love
he drew me in
and made me ponder.

Who was this man
this beautiful soul
who spoke of life
and all of its woes?
I felt my heart beating
my breath coming fast,
I wanted to know him
and of his past.

In time our friendship
grew and then
he became to be
more than a friend.
He has stolen my heart
and seen my soul,
he had me from
the beginning
when he said "Hallo".
