Seeking Clarity

 

 

I sought higher ground

 

in hopes to find

a semblance of truth

some peace of mind.

With trembling heart I reached for you

to find the love to pull me through.

For only you

you see

could rescue me

if

               I

                             fell

while

seeking clarity.

I really enjoyed your short rhymed poem.
I think we all search for clarity, truth and peace of mind but only some of us truly find it. We need to have faith in ourselves to find what is true to us. I love how the part 'if I fell' falls down the page - great formatting here.
