I Shall....

I shall wrap you in a blanket

of love to keep you warm.

My arms will hold you

 close at night

 to keep you safe

from harm.

 

I shall cradle your head like a pillow

and guard you through the night

to help you dream

 of lovely things

and make the world

seem right.

 

I shall rock you like a cradle

and sing you fast asleep.

Then pray the Lord

 to watch over you,

your soul that

 He will keep.
