They Walk for Peace

They Walk for Peace

A Poem by Dara
"

Inspired by the dedicated monks from Houston who are making their way to Washington DC.

"
Walking in a straight line, feet often bare pressing on cold unforgiving pavement, they move with quiet determination.

Dressed in robes of saffron, yellow and orange they march on, oblivious to any aches or pain.
Sometimes walking in the rain as temperatures begin to fall.

Dedicated to their cause of spreading
light and love they walk for miles every day.
Humble servants of peace, pure of heart.

They are driven to walk not to seek attention or in protest but as a warning to a troubled world in the midst of chaos.

Accompanied by their loyal four legged companion, Aloka, they are warmly greeted by crowds of people hungry for a glimpse of
hope.

Praying that their journey continue to be a safe one and when they arrive at their destination may their message reach even the coldest of hearts.
