Madonna*

Madonna*

A Poem by Patches I'm not so new anymore.
"

Sonnet #1

"

Madonna, my love for thee hast grown,

for Love hast taught me how to love.

I am more cheerful by one hundredfold

because thou hast smiled upon me

which causes me to love thee all the more.

Madonna. Lady whom I dare not name

refuse me not, for I wilt love thee beyond death.

This I cannot, will not hide, for thou art as sweet

as thou art charming, full of joi and all that is good

and right in the sight of the Lord.

Madonna, 'tis for thee I have made this love song.

Thou art delectable, desireable and most worthy of love

by one far nobler than I, though it is my hope that thou

love me as passionately as I love thee.

*Madonna= My Lady.
